Yes - there is kudzu in Houston. We brought this plant back from Mississippi in 2002 and have carefully managed it. When cared for, it is a very nice looking plant.

Kudzu Vine in late March. Now, check this photo this photo -- only two weeks earlier. Some of the new growth is growing nearly one foot per day. I am having to train the new growth to the trellis every couple of days to keep it contained. This should scare the bejeezus out of anyone.
