The simple heater. $17.00 at Lowe's. Although rated the same as the original Black and Decker heater, this unit seems to put out more heat, and cost less than half as much. It is controlled entirely by the greenhouse heater control circuit.

10:11 AM		 Thermostat for the heater control circuit. The thermostat is mounted on a piece of foam board with aluminum tape on the backside for insulation from sunlight. This thermostat regulates the greenhouse temperature within 2°. The previous setup, using only the thermostat inside the heater, could not regulate temperature nearly as well. At times, the temperature inside the greenhouse would be below 60° and the heater would by cycling off and on when it should be running continuously. Also, many times the vent fan, set to cool at 80°, would be running and the heater would also be heating. This new setup completely eliminates those problems.

10:11 AM		 Heater control circuit. 24 volt transformer mounted above box with heater relay. The GFI outlet above the transformer is controlled by the heater relay.

10:12 AM		 Digital thermometer inside the greenhouse (bottom) also reads humidity. I mounted it and the remote thermometer sensor on a piece of foam board backed with foil tape for insulation from sunlight.

3:33 PM		 The large white thing is a dehumidifier. I had to install it to overcome the grey mold problems caused by high humidity. It keeps the greenhouse relative humidity at 60%. Before I installed it, the humidity was almost always over 95%.
