Wurlitzer Model 1700 Juke Box
This jukebox, of 1950's vintage, holds 52 45-rpm records. The turntable spindle, which is vertical, is visible in the center, behind the glass and just above the records. Records played "on edge". The deck of the jukebox has the following label: "This instrument equipped with genuine COBRA Radionic Tone Arm, manufactured only by Zenith Radio Corporation, Chicago."
We have this jukebox filled with country music -- mostly classics. How could you have an old classic jukebox without it having Patsy Cline's "Crazy", or Ernest Tubb's "Waltz Across Texas"? It also has a smattering of newer music. A country jukebox just doesn't seem complete without Garth Brooks' "Friends In Low Places" and, of course, David Allan Coe's "You Never Even Called Me By My Name"!
